How does streak tracking work?
A streak counts the number of consecutive days you have completed a habit. If you miss a day, the current streak resets to zero. The tracker also records your longest streak so you can see your personal best and stay motivated to beat it.
Where is my habit data stored?
All your habit data is stored locally in your browser using local storage. Nothing is sent to any server, so your data is completely private. However, clearing your browser data will erase your habits, so consider exporting your data periodically.
Can I view my habits in a monthly calendar view?
Yes, the habit tracker includes a monthly view that shows a visual calendar of your completions. Each day is color-coded to show whether you completed the habit, making it easy to spot patterns and consistency at a glance.
How long does it take to build a habit?
Research from University College London suggests it takes an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic, though it can range from 18 to 254 days depending on the person and the habit. Consistency is more important than perfection.
Can I track multiple habits at once?
Yes, you can add and track as many habits as you like. Each habit has its own streak counter, completion history, and calendar view. However, research suggests starting with 2-3 habits at a time for the best results.
