What does Split by Column do?

How are the sheets named?
Each sheet is named after the value in the column you split by. For example, if you split by "Department", you might get sheets named "Sales", "Marketing", "Engineering", etc.
What if there are many unique values?
The tool handles any number of unique values. Each value becomes a separate sheet. Preview shows you the first 20 groups before splitting.
Can I get separate files instead of sheets?
Currently, all data is exported as sheets in a single Excel file. This makes it easier to manage. You can use our Excel Viewer to view specific sheets.
